Founded in 1884 Stainland CC played at Drury Lane - a venue famous for its bandstand. In 1922 the club received their current ground, on Stainland Road, as a post-war gift.

The beautiful ground remains a great asset to the community and is today enjoyed by mixed junior and senior teams, and a women’s and girls team.
